1999 Births

We prefer for cubs/kittens to be mother-raised whenever possible; it's healthier for the cub, and they tend to have less problems in the future being introduced to other cats for breeding. However, we will pull and hand-raise cubs if the mother isn't taking care of them. You won't see good photos here of very young mother-raised cubs, Momma doesn't let anyone near her den box for a few weeks! ____________
  • Tanya and Freddi, Amur leopards, 0.1 cub ('Sasha') born 20 November 1999. Moved to Audubon Zoo Nov 02 with Sergei.

  • Shada and Rocky, Fishing cats, 0.2 cubs ("Madison" and "Nicky") born 13 June 1999 (Nicky died late 2001)
